sugary buttery yummy cookies

1 c. softened butter

1/2 c. powdered sugar

1/2 c. sugar

1 egg

1/2 tsp. vanilla

2 1/4 c. flour

1/2 tsp cream of tartar

1/2 tsp baking soda

decorator sugar, if desired

heat oven 350

combine butter, powdered sugar, and 1/2 c. sugar in large bowl.

Beat at med. speed or mix with hands (I do that)

add egg, vanilla; and continue

beating until well mixed.

add flour, crm of tartar and soda and mix at low speed.

form a ball.

shape dough in 1 inch balls. place on cookie sheet 2" apart

flatten with glass dipped in sugar.

Sprinkle with decorative sugars in desired.

bake at 7 min.
